The Devil is Absolutely in the Details

Updated: Mar 5, 2021

We are fond of saying the devil is in the details.  Have you ever thought out why the saying is that the devil is in the details when another common phrase is that cleanliness is next to godliness?

Oddly enough, we have thought about this phrase quite a bit and the more we think about it, the more we agree that the devil really is in the details.

Most cultures have a devil-type figure.  In most cases, what is the draw of the devil?  The draw is not any specific deed or act, but rather the temptation to do, or not do something and then believe that you can get away with it.  Why then is the devil in the details?  It is because the detail work is what most people are tempted to skip thinking that a client is not going to notice.

The thing is that the client might not notice.  They think they got away with it, so they begin to ignore the details, then over time, they are tempted once again to cut corners and save more time.  Eventually, the clients are going to notice that their office is not as clean and fresh as it was before their cleaning service was tempted by the devil in the details.

The reason why the devil is in the details, but cleanliness is next to godliness is that it is important to stand up to the temptation to ignore the details and know that even if the client does not seem to realize the extent to which we are cleaning their office, they do notice it in other ways.  Our clients will notice that their offices are professionally cleaned, and everything has a look, a feel, and a smell of being clean.

Even if our clients do not know the extent to which we manage the details, we know it, and we know that when we leave, we are leaving your office with the sense of a job that was done right.

In today’s new normal, the details are more than just leaving an office clean and fresh.  With our detailed sanitization service, the details have more meaning now than ever before.  With people hesitant and nervous to come into an office, and the level of anxiety that each day brings to so many, we take our responsibility of keeping your office both clean and safe very seriously.

The devil is absolutely in the details, and we face those devils every single day and we have never fallen to temptation.  Our dedication to our clients is absolute.
